Devon PR food photographer Guy Harrop catching up with bakers preparing beautiful traditional hot cross buns in time for Easter.

A baker finishes the glaze on hot cross buns in time for Good Friday at East and West Bakery, Barnstaple, Devon UK. Traditionally buns had a cross on to ward off evil spirits and in the late 1600s, (after the English Civil War) only bread, cakes and buns made on Good Friday continued to bear a cross.
